Shipping, delivery and returns
This is a wholesale alcohol catalog for ABC-licensed restaurants, retailers and other licensed trade accounts. It is not a consumer store. Specialty Cellars does not offer 30-day retail returns or worldwide consumer shipping.
Who may order
Orders are accepted only from approved, licensed trade accounts. Complete Account Setup before checkout. Unlicensed, guest or consumer orders are not fulfilled.
Territory and delivery
Live online ordering is for licensed California wholesale accounts unless Specialty Cellars confirms another licensed route in writing. Delivery is arranged through wine-aware partners such as ABX and Zephyr Express. Partner, route, temperature service and timing depend on destination, inventory location, weather and current operating conditions.
- Typical Southern California service is next-day to major markets when inventory and routing allow.
- Outlying California points may take longer.
- Selecting a logistics partner on the site does not guarantee that partner on every shipment.
Order format and fees
- Wine is sold in full 12-bottle cases unless a SKU is marked otherwise.
- California CRV is $0.10 per bottle ($1.20 per case) and is added at cart.
- Wine merchandise must total $450 or more. Under $450, a $20 small-order surcharge is added. Mix and match brands in one cart to reach the minimum.
- 3-case and 5-case trade prices apply in cart when the published case thresholds are met.
Cancellations
Email info@shopspecialtycellars.com to request cancellation before the order is picked, transferred to a carrier or loaded. Once a shipment is in transit or delivered, it is not cancellable. Specialty Cellars may cancel or hold an order that fails license, credit, inventory or compliance review.
Damage, shortage and refusal
- Inspect on delivery. Note visible damage, shortage or temperature issues on the carrier receipt before the driver leaves.
- Photograph immediately. Take photos of the pallet, cases, labels and any broken glass while the product is still on the dock or at the door.
- Report within 48 hours of delivery to info@shopspecialtycellars.com with the order number, photos and a count of damaged or missing bottles.
- Concealed damage must be reported within 5 business days of delivery.
- Refusal. Do not refuse a shipment without first calling Specialty Cellars. Unapproved refusals, missed receiving windows or product left unattended may still be billed, including return freight and restocking where allowed by law.
Returns
There are no open-account consumer returns. Specialty Cellars does not accept opened, priced, stored-warm or otherwise unsaleable wholesale wine for convenience returns. Authorized returns are limited to incorrect SKU shipped by Specialty Cellars, documented in-transit damage or shortage approved after review, and a written quality issue that Specialty Cellars agrees to take back.
Do not ship product back without a return authorization. Unauthorized returns may be refused. Credits, replacements or refunds, if issued, apply to the approved bottles only.
Title, risk and compliance
Alcoholic beverages move under California wholesale rules and the buyer license privileges. Buyers are responsible for receiving licensed product, storing it properly and paying invoices on the terms of the approved Wholesail or FinTech account. Electronic payment requirements for applicable California retailer-to-wholesaler transactions took effect January 1, 2026.
